Bragging time!
And I quote...

Letter of Appreciation - AMT3 Jason Risser

"I would like to inform you of the exceptional effort put forth by AMT3 Jason Risser when he was assigned to the HH-65 Structures Shop on a temporary training assignment. AMT3 Risser possessed a strong work ethic and exceptional ability to learn.

Currently, Shop 653 (Sheet Metal Section) is running with an extremely heavy workload and a few days behind in the production work schedule. AMT3 Risser arrived in time to assist in the placing of an HH-65 Hull in the holding fixture and participate in the removal, drilling and installation of a Right and Left Hand Side Panel. AMT3 Risser also assisted in the removal, drilling and installation of an Upper Fish Plate within the frame utilizing Jo-Bolts. He additionally assisted by the identification, removal and treatment of corrosion on the HH-65 Hull.

During his tour in the Composite Section, he first assisted and then accomplished a few fillers and doublers in the HH-65 Tail Cone utilizing vacuum techniques. He fabricated and installed an extensive repair on the R/H Cover Assembly; which in the end was a high quality product. Additionally, he performed wet lay-ups, sanded and finished repairs on Rescue Hoist Hatches and several panels.

AMT3 Risser also displayed a lot of initiative as he expressed an interest in spending some time in the Paint Shop in order to better familiarize him with the process; which will benefit not only himself but the unit as well. He did manage to spend a shift in the Paint Hangar to accomplish this request.

Throughout the course of his tour of duty in the Structures Shop, I never observed him not working hard and being productive. My employees were constantly telling me what a great job he was doing; with a never ending appetite for more work and a thirst for more knowledge. On top of this, he handled himself with professionalism and has a very pleasant demeanor; all of the shop employees took a liking to him.

It was a pleasure to have a trainee working in the shop who was so productive. I am sure that AMT3 Risser is a tremendous asset to whatever unit he is assigned. Please pass on the thanks of the Shop 653 Structures Team."

Respectfully,
Mike J. Schnoebelen
